Carpet One looking for mat design that will help to raise money for the fight against breast cancer
PARRY SOUND - Carpet One Parry Sound, along with other stores across Canada are partnering with Canadian Home and Country magazine for the Design for a Cure contest.

Early last month, Carpet One put out a call for entries for designs for the pink ribbon welcome mat, the proceeds of which will be donated to help fight breast cancer.
Carpet One still has mats from previous year’s designs on sale, with spring, summer and fall motifs.
The winning mat design will be included in the fall 2006 collection for the Carpet One Welcomes Your Support campaign, that supports the Canadian Cancer Society. Twenty-five per cent of the price for each mat sold will go to local Canadian Cancer Society breast cancer programs.
Design submissions can be dropped off at 115 Bowes Street or can be submitted via email on Canadian Home and Country magazine’s website at www.canadianhomeandcountry.com. The deadline is June 30.
This semi-annual campaign first launched in 2004 raises funds for breast cancer research, support and information programs through sales of the pink ribbon welcome mats. To date, close to $400,000 has been raised.
